Leonie Mills

Leonie and her husband Jon run a mixed farming operation at Cowell/Cleve/Wharminda on Eastern Eyre Peninsula. They have three adult children and Leonie has been farming since 1980 initially on her family farm and then in partnership with Jon since 1996. Both families have been farming on Eyre peninsula for well over a century. Their youngest son has now returned home to join them on the farm.

They crop around 2200 ha and run a commercial flock from which they produce crossbred lambs. They also run the Morley Poll Merino Stud of which Leonie is the stud principle.

Leonie currently sits on the Merino SA executive committee and holds the role of treasurer.

Leonie sat as a board member on the SA Sheep Advisory Group from 2008 to 2019 with 3 years as Chair and currently sits on the SASIF and SACIF Boards selection panel.
