Nominations for two Livestock SA Board positions open

Livestock SA is calling for nominations for two member elected Board Director positions. The two available positions are for:

  1. A livestock producer involved in the cattle industry
  2. A livestock producer involved in the sheep or cattle industries or a livestock industry professional.

Livestock SA President, Joe Keynes said the vacancies were an excellent opportunity for livestock producers and industry professionals passionate about shaping the future of the state’s red meat and wool industries.

“In completing the transition to a new corporate structure, four current directors will stand down from the board, making way for two new positions.”

“The new board structure ensures that at any given time there will always be a minimum of 3 elected sheep producers and 3 elected cattle producers on the board to ensure accountability back to the sheep and cattle industries.”

“Consistent with the new constitution, one position is available for a producer involved in the cattle industry, while the other position is open to a producer involved in the sheep or cattle industries or a livestock industry professional.”

“Both elected positions are for 3-year terms, which commence at the conclusion of this year’s Annual General Meeting.”

“Following the organisational restructure, the organisation can now better focus on the range of opportunities and challenges in front of the livestock industry, so there has never been a better time to join the Livestock SA Board if you want to make a difference to your industry.”

Nomination forms are available on the Livestock SA website www.livestocksa.org.au or by contacting the Livestock SA office on 08 8297 2299.

Completed forms must be received in the Livestock SA office by 5:00pm (ACDT) Tuesday 15 October 2024.
