Stephanie Brooker-Jones

Stephanie Brooker-Jones brings a wealth of experience and dedication to the wool industry. She is the Elders District Wool Manager in Naracoorte, providing service to the South East of South Australia for the past 20 years. Her career also includes 10 years with GH Michell and Sons, where she was a wool buyer in the South East. Stephanie has also served as the Personal Assistant to David Brooker at Brooker Farm in Lucindale, managing self-replacing merino and first cross ewes.

With 15 years of experience as a Wool Classer, Stephanie has worked across South Australia, Victoria, New South Wales, Queensland, Wyoming in the USA for eight seasons, and briefly in New Zealand and the UK.

Stephanie has been involved with Sports Shear South Australia and Sports Shear Australia for 30 years, taking on roles such as Wool Handling Judge, Secretary, Chairman, and Committee Member since its inception. Her judging expertise extends to the Golden Shears World Championships, where she has judged in Scotland, Ireland, New Zealand, and Australia.

In addition to these roles, Stephanie has contributed to the training and education of shed hands (wool handlers), working with Ag & Hort Training, TAFE, and Shearer Woolhandler Training Inc. as needed. She also actively supports schools and shows with junior judging and sheep and wool education.

Her dedication to the wool industry has been recognised with the FAWO Australian Wool Industry Medal.
